It's official! Braun Strowman officially has a storyline for WrestleMania. For the past few weeks wrestling fans have been left in the dark on what direction the company was going to go with Monster Among Men. It is now clear, for the most part, that he will be competing for the RAW Tag Team Championships at the show of shows. The question that has been buzzing around social media since RAW concluded was, will Braun face The Bar by himself?
Although I feel it would be an interesting storyline to say the least but I don't feel Braun should take on The Bar in a handicap match for the tag titles. Now before I go any further, I love Braun. He has won a place in my heart over the last year to year and a half. I have recently realized my love for him may have gone to far lately as to when his music hits I pop up out of my chair and throw my hands to the sky yelling "BRRRRRAAAAAUUUUUUUNNN!" My wife believes I have a sickness.
Anyways.... We already know that Braun is probably one of the more over wrestlers on the RAW roster, maybe even the entire roster (insert #RusevDay here). To have him go into Mania without a tag partner and demolish The Bar might not be the best booking possible. I believe he will not only go into Mania with a tag partner, but they will go over and win the RAW tag championships.
I am here to give you my two possible options. One very obvious and then another one that might make you scratch your head. First, my least obvious pick would be Curt Hawkins. Why not? Curt has not won a match in over 180+ matches (according to his twitter bio). Why not put him in a partnership with Braun and give him a small push to get him out of his slump? Curt could be the X-Pac to Braun's Kane, if that makes any sense. Will this happen? Most likely not, but it's worth a thought. My more obvious pick would be Elias. I think a lot of people would agree with me that if Braun was to have a partner it would be the Drifter. I honestly think the two would mesh well together and make a solid run as tag champions. Giving Elias and Braun the tag team titles would give them both something to do until programs free up for the Universal and Intercontinental championships, respectfully. Finally, making this move would definitely spice up the RAW tag division, which as grown stale in my opinion.
What will the next few weeks hold for Braun Strowman as he marches his way to a possible tag team championship win? Stay tuned into RAW to find out what unfolds over the next few weeks.
