Woman's Money In The Bank cash in at WrestleMania
In 2017 the woman's revolution has been at full throttle with no stopping any time soon. Excellent matches, champions, characters, and woman wrestling first such as the Royal Rumble match and Money In The Bank ladder match, have all lead to a potential show stealer at this years WrestleMania. With this I want to fantasy book a few scenarios for the Money In The Bank contract cash in by the FABULOUS Carmella!
WrestleMania is the grandest of all stages in Wrestling. It gets mainstream coverage and great press. Also, it has a lady by the name of Ronda Rousey making her in ring debut for WWE, which will help bring the woman of WWE to the forefront of wrestling entertainment. With all this, you have to think that a MITB cash in on this stage
would be epic and a great showcase for the company to add to all the attention these woman already get. Its the perfect set up. With all of this lets look at a few scenarios that I think could play out on April 8th.
1. Carmella cashes in on Alexa Bliss
We all know that Asuka is going to be facing Charlotte for the Smackdown Women's Championship. We all know that Asuka is probably going to win. With that causes a few holes to open up on RAW. What better way than to have Carmella cash in on Alexa (or assuming Nia and Alexa face off at Mania with a Nia victory.) Either way, have Carmella win over whoever is RAW champion at the end of the woman's RAW championship match at MANIA. Carmella showing up on RAW as champion, the night after the big show, would be huge. Carmella is one of many woman that can afford a brand switch. Lets hope that this scenario plays out at WrestleMania!
2. Carmella cashes in on Charlotte
Charlotte vs Asuka is going to be a match of the ages! It has Main Event potential. For a feud to continue and to have Asuka wanting more of Charlotte, imagine having Carmella cash in before Asuka beats Charlotte, pins Charlotte and walks out as Smackdown Women's Champion. This kind of scenario opens the door for more storylines and a future match between Asuka and Charlotte because of unfinished business. This scenario, to me, is the least likely to play out. I am not 100% sure that Vince will want anything but a killer match between Asuka and Charlotte, and he more than likely won't want a interrupted outcome. But we will see what hand he plays in just a few short weeks!
3. Carmella cashes in on Asuka
Unfortunately this scenario will end up potentially burying Carmella. After Asuka beats Charlotte, Carmella cashes in and quickly loses the match, meaning Askua jump starts her WrestleMania record to a quick 2 and 0. This is the scenario I don't want to see, but has a better percentage of playing out than some others. Lets hope that WWE doesn't waste the MITB contract in such a way.
Whichever rout the WWE goes I am sure it will entertain us, make us pop, and keep us debating and writing about the possibilities. A Mania cash in would put a positive headline in the news and would bring more attention to other events that focus on Women's wrestling like MITB and the Rumble. Vince loves his attention and I still have hope that the cash in will happen and not go wasted. Carmella wont end up setting records as a WWE champion but she will go down as the 1st woman to ever cash in that briefcase and will be a topic for years to come!
