It's been over a month since we've posted a new blog. I'll be honest, the drive is not there at the moment. Working full-time and with summer around the corner, sitting down and writing a blog is not priority number 1. With that being said I do want to try and push something out at least once a month until the end of summer. One of the biggest things here is that WWE is terrible during the summer. I have barely devoted any time over the past 6 weeks to their product. It's bad right now, and it's only going to get worse. I would imagine by SummerSlam they may try to regain viewers interests, but with the possible main event being Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Roman Reigns, I don't see how that is possible.
There was a rumor a while back that someone within WWE stated something, "some people will like what we'll do at SummerSlam, some may not, majority will hate it." Well, it's looking more and more likely that they were right: a majority of the fans will hate it! I am not for another boring, F-5, German Suplex, Superman Punch, and Spear type of match. This has to end! WWE is playing up that Roman was screwed at the Greatest Royal Rumble. How about a big bullshit! No one cares other than the Roman fan girls and boys. The older audience does not want to see this shit again. Worst of all, as stated earlier, is this match will probably end up main eventing the show. Best case scenario is if people walk out again.
When I heard the possibility that Brock was going to be going up against Seth and LOSING, by the way. I thought to myself "that would be awesome!" Seth is more of the face of WWE than Roman has ever been during his last 4 year push. Seth is so fire right now that it makes the last 4 years of Roman look like a little camp fire. I honestly think WWE see's this and are just unsure about allowing Seth to go over Brock at SummerSlam. I know most fans would be all for it, in my opinion.
I know that I'm coming off as a bit of a MARK or SMARK... I really don't care. I enjoy being entertained and the fact that WWE is pushing for another Brock vs. Roman fight is just not entertaining to me. Putting the Universal Championship on Roman is just not
entertaining to me. Having Brock German Suplex Roman 90 times is just not entertaining to me, well ok, maybe just a tad. Nonetheless, something has to be done to save SummerSlam. It's already bad enough that one of my favorite PPVs, Money In The Bank, has been ruined with a shit card and way too many matches. I can't believe that WWE would settle for another shit PPV to end the summer.
Another scenario that could happen that would make it worthwhile is if someone from RAW wins the MITB and cashing it in on Roman after the SummerSlam main event. I honestly think this would hold people from walking out, if they knew that the briefcase was possibly in play for a RAW superstar.
I suppose time will tell. Thanks for letting me to vent! Hope everyone enjoys NJPW Dominion this weekend! That card will surely deliver in soooooo many ways compared to the shit card that is coming up for MITB.
