"Thank You So Fucking Much!"

For those fortunate enough to have seen New Japans show, Strong Style Evolved in Long Beach on Sunday night, you know that you witnessed a true piece of art. Now art is perceived by many differently, but, the spectacle that was witnessed on that night was undeniably beautiful. The Golden Lovers and The Young Bucks make up some of the best talent there is in the world and they showed that first hand. They showed us what it means to tell a story, to make us feel what we need to feel. On Sunday night, I don't think I was ever more proud to be a wrestling fan, the emotions that I felt that night were all over the place.

I was hooked from the start, Kenny not wanting to get in and mix it up with Matt, I felt his pain, his hesitancy, his love for his brother. When they did start throwing, it was physical, the strikes were stiff, it was fun, it was beautiful. The match was lax with rules, it was more of a tornado tag match, it was all over, the moves were insane. The spots were insane, the strikes were violent, but it all made sense, everything they did told a story, everything meant something. In today's wrestling, we see a lot of spots for that Holy Shit moment, they don't really mean much, they are just thrown in, not this one, it all meant something. Matt, you need to see a specialist about your back though man. The focus on the back though just tells the story, the hesitance that Kenny showed the whole match to inflict pain.

My favorite moment of the match, the part that literally made me cry a little bit, (yes I am a 33 year old man, and wrestling still makes me emotional) was when Kenny had Matt set for the one winged angel, he couldn't pull the trigger, and Matt forced him to do the move. Holy Shit! that got to me do heavily. That was Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels, that was the I'm sorry, I love you moment. Everything about that, the setup, the hesitancy, the forced to do it, overall execution, it was beautiful. I love wrestling, good wrestling, when done to perfection makes you feel something. This match was more than perfect, I felt so many things.

This isn't a long article, this is just an article of praise and thanks. I am sure Kenny, Matt, Nick, and Kota, will never see this, but if they do, Thank you so fucking much. Matt @MattSochia
