Since it has been some time since I last posted, I figured I would do a slight bit of Fantasy Booking. I usually leave the Fantasy Booking to Ditty, but I figured I'd tag along this Friday. This will just be how I would like to see WWE book Becky vs. Ronda. So let's take a quick look at what would make me happy.
This is obviously a big marquee match-up, lets face it. I truly believe this match could headline the show. Will it? Highly doubtful, but one could wish.
We are not that far off from Survivor Series, so if there will be any type of build I think it needs to happen now. I don't think we'll need much to be honest. I think this week on RAW, Ronda should come out and brag about she, not Becky, main-evented WWE Evolution. Ronda's work here should not be that of a heel, but maybe more of a tweener. As the promo goes forward a video package would air from Becky. This would get the WWE Universe hyped up because they all love Becky, even though she's a "heel." During the package Becky should talk about how Ronda didn't deserve the spotlight at Evolution and it should have been her, The Man, that main-evented the show. Before the ending of the video package Becky comes running out of the crowd and ambushes Ronda. Ronda doesn't get any offense off because Becky was quick with her assault and then fled up the ramp. Becky then
pauses at the top of the ramp holding the Smackdown Women's Championship high looking at Ronda saying "I'm the Man. I'm the baddest champ on the planet."
Fast forward to Smackdown. Everyone thinks that Ronda will show up and get some revenge on Becky for the assault on RAW, but we're going to hold off on that. Backstage, Becky is on high alert constantly moving around. This could be shown in maybe 2-3 different segments to give us the impression that Becky is "running scared." WWE should book Becky in a match where she gets a very easy win and then takes her belt and quickly leaves ring. The fans get fired up thinking that Ronda may appear, but she doesn't. No retaliation.
Going into the go-home week for both RAW and Smackdown is where they could really make this match something beautiful. I would have RAW come and go without an appearance by Ronda. This will leave the fans wondering where she is and why she hasn't responded to Becky.
Come Smackdown all bets are off. Have Becky close out the show cutting a promo, going up one side of Ronda and down the other. This would get the fan energy up thinking Ronda has to come out. As soon as Becky starts to say that she is "the baddest champion..." Ronda's music hits. Ronda appears at the top of the ramp. As she see's Ronda at the entrance ramp, Becky begins running her mouth and that pushes Ronda to rush the ring. Becky then vacates the ring and runs. Ronda gives chase to the back. Once in the back, Ronda loses sight of Becky. Ronda keeps asking people where she is hiding, to no response. Then out of nowhere, Becky ambushes Ronda again. Unlike last time, Ronda starts to get a little offense in and goes for the armbar. Becky quickly gets out and rushes off to a waiting car. Ronda gives chase, but ultimately Becky escapes the arena. Smackdown goes off air with the image of a frustrated Ronda.
Now, I'm not going to sit here and layout the entire match. I do think that it will be a very good contest, with it being Ronda's best work-to-date (mostly because of who she will be sharing the ring with). In
