I have not been the best "blogger" as of late, so I figured I would chime in on this upcoming WWE weekend, #HIAC. Hope you enjoy my "thrown together" piece and give me some positive, or negative feedback. I like to argue, even if I'm completely wrong.
I'm not going to sit here and blast The Shield throughout this article, that's what twitter is for. Anyways, The Shield have always been a dominate force since they first arrived on scene in the WWE. I'll admit, I use to LOVE The Shield when they were new and fresh. But now.... meh. I don't have the same love for them as I use to. Seth Rollins is by far the best out of the trio. I'm not going to sit here and argue it, if you'd like hit me up on Twitter. But going into this HIAC weekend, I have a bad feeling we'll see The Shield open #RAW on Monday night holding all the titles for the show. I won't be surprised if Ziggler/McIntrye retain the titles come Sunday, but I just have a gut feeling that VKM is going to put the belts on Rollins/Ambrose for shits and giggles. I hope I'm wrong here, but I'm afraid I may not be. Time will tell.
The whole HIAC show, in my opinion, is an ok card. I do like the fact that there are only 8 matches, so we have that going for us. I wouldn't be surprised if we get some kind of late match addition or some terrible rushed segment during the show. I have three big issues with the card, I will get to the more obvious one (look at the title) in just a second. My first objective to the card is Rusev Day. Now I love Rusev Day, but weren't they breaking up like three or more weeks ago? I feel like the injury to the Erick Rowan has forced creatives hand and has pushed Rusev and English back together. Also, if anyone reads this, I may recieve some heat by saying I don't care for Jeff Hardy vs Randy Orton in a HIAC match. I just don't care for Randy Orton, so for me it's a huge turn off. Now we

all know Jeff Hardy is going to do something "Mick Foley" like to make us remember this match. Hopefully we do see Jeff Hardy go full on Brother Nero or a mix of Brother Nero/Willow. I think, for me personally, something like that would save this match.
My last grip with this PPV is the whole Mick Foley being added to the Universal Championship match as a special guest referee. I understand that it's been over 20 years since Mick was thrown from the top of the cage, through the cage to the ring, and back dropped onto some thumbtacks. But honestly... this match doesn't need Mick in it.

I know I am not excited for Braun vs RR, simply for the fact that I already know the outcome and an appearance by Mick just doesn't help sell it for me. One big reason why I don't like the whole Mick Foley angle is we all know, deep down inside, that he is going to take a major bump in this match. It could be anything really: thrown from part of the cage, tossed through the cage, through the ring, Strowman eating him alive, etc. In my opinion, for what it's work [nothing] I don't think having him as a referee is a selling point. With all that being said, I love Mick Foley, I just hope they don't do anything that will put his already mangled body into jeopardy.
Just in case we forgot about the toss heard around the world; I've included the video.
That's all for now, I hope you have enjoyed the read. Make sure you check out the ATWrestling Blog twitter on Sunday as I'm sure someone will be live tweeting the show. I know I will be around for some of it, but I don't think I'll watch from first to last bell. If you do, enjoy the show! Also, let me know what your thoughts our on mine or the show in general.
