As stated before, this is going to be a continuation from the previous article that I started. If you are reading this prior to reading anything else that I wrote about WWE Evolution, do yourself the favor, check out the links below and read your little wrestling hearts out. We are getting closer to Evolution and the card is looking solid for the most part. Today we will discuss the Raw and NXT Women’s Championship matches lined up for Evolution.

Since winning the Raw Women’s Champion from Alexa Bliss, Ronda “Rowdy” Rousey has been an unstoppable force. She has been seen teaming up with the likes of Natalya and the Bella Twins mainly because let’s face facts, in the wrestling ring Rousey is still green. She has grown more into her character within these past few months, and she’s invested in her work without half-assing her development.

Now let’s bring it back to her teaming up with Natalya when she first made way. Ever since Ronda Rousey’s arrival in the WWE, Natalya took Rousey under her wing. I genuinely believe that if it weren’t for the unfortunate sudden passing of her father, the late great Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart, we would’ve had ourselves a Natalya and Rousey feud in time for Evolution. However, that was not the case.

In the absence of Natalya, the WWE needed some form of replacement, not only for the story but to also help Rousey around and what better way than to remind fans that the Bella Twins were not done with their wrestling career. It was then that a rumor of Nikki Bella would go against Ronda Rousey at Evolution. At this point knowing the information at hand, we the fans were pondering on when the heel turn was going to place. It was just a mere two weeks ago on Raw that the Bella Twins finally showed Ronda their true colors.

On Oct 15th episode of Raw Ronda Rousey cut what is considered as her best promo thus far. Now she did have a slight hiccup to her promo, but she quickly recovered from it. Part of Nikki Bella's promo was talking about how many doors she had knocked down during her entire career. Something that Ronda Rousey could never equal to (I mean she's delusional but whatever helps Nikki sleep at night). Rousey surprisingly came out swinging with "THE ONLY DOOR YOU EVER KNOCKED DOWN WAS THE DOOR TO JOHN CENA'S BEDROOM... and he eventually threw you out of that same door." As HOF Ron Simmons would say......

We later learned that Rousey wrote the entire promo by herself and I'm impressed by how well it turned out to be. Why didn’t they let her write her shit from the start? I mean I get why because she's very green still, but wow can she deliver this type of material all the time? It should be interesting to see.

Nevertheless, this contest is now gaining some traction which is excellent for the PPV and story purpose. However, I’m not convinced of the fact that Nikki could honestly defeat the champ by herself, which makes sense as to why Brie will be in the corner of her sister. Nikki’s move set is pretty solid for the most part, and Rousey can be surprising when it comes to in-ring performance. One can only hope that this match will turn out better than expected. Most important let’s all be happy that it’s Nikki in the ring and not Brie.

The second rematch for the NXT Women's Championship between these two and what a match it will be. This contest brings WWE Evolution PPV to a full circle with the feels and tie-ins of the Mae Young Classic II finals match on the same night. Both were the finalist of the first ever Mae Young Classic where Kairi Sane defeated Shayna Baszler. Later Baszler became champion of the NXT women’s division, and it was then at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 4 they had an incredible rematch for the championship. Kairi Sane defeated Shayna Baszler by a reversal pin when Blazer tried to put her finisher move the chokehold on Sane. Now I was at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 4 and watching the match live was one of the best events for the NXT Women’s division. I thought for sure that Baszler was going to win that match and to my surprise, something unexpected happened and the whole place went berserk. There’s something about this level of energy from NXT that excites me for what’s to come when these two get in the ring. Since her loss to The Pirate Princess, The Queen of Spades been an unstoppable force focusing on her regaining the championship back. Getting her chance at Evolution the question remains if Kairi Sane will retain the title or will she tap out to Shayna Baszler. I don't see the title changing hands mainly, because I feel that Baszler will be call up to the main roster soon and we could potentially get a tag team in the future with Ronda Rousey. The outcome of this match should be the last to end the feud and begin new ones.

There's so much more to cover, and I will try my best to get these pot out before Evolution. Stay tuned as the next article will be the continuation of this post with the match review of the finals of the Mae Young Classic and the Battle Royal. A lot of women from past, the present and the future will be competing and i will give my opinion on how I feel about it. Please like, comment and let me know your thoughts! Until then, ring the bell ref, this post is over.
